An exciting agenda that will challenge and define
The programme has been designed to address the priorities of New Champion CEOs. Every session will provide practical tools, knowledge and contacts that can be leveraged and implemented by participants within their businesses. It’s an exciting and challenging agenda where the focus is on tangible business needs for now, and for the future.

A different way of interacting
Dalian is new and different - not simply in content but also in format. The meeting links the unrivalled convening power of the World Economic Forum with valuable content, innovative session design and exciting interactive opportunities to give participants a unique and rewarding experience.

These highly interactive sessions will favour peer-to-peer conversations to address strategic business challenges and discussions with experts who are doing the most to drive change.

Building on Experience – Dalian Mentors
A select group of business leaders with extensive international experience in building global businesses will act as mentors.
They will place particular emphasis on the critical role that leadership and responsibility play in building companies and serving society.

Regional Business Outlook Series
These sessions will highlight the most competitive countries and regions for new investment. Conducted as boardroom discussions, they will encourage intensive interaction with decision-makers and potential business partners.

Creating a New Community – The Village
To foster the community of the New Champions, we have created The Village – the heart of the meeting. This purpose-built structure will be both an informal and formal gathering place for impromptu meetings and bilateral exchanges.

Informal Gatherings@Dalian
Together with the National Development and Reform Commission of the People’s Republic of China, New Champions will join with established business leaders and international ministers to discuss the role of innovation and new ideas in addressing policy challenges in health, science & technology and energy & environment.

Media Debate Series
Conducted in collaboration with leading global broadcast networks, lively televised debates will explore specific issues related to economic and societal shifts taking place.

Global Risk Series
This series will explore the response and mitigation strategies of companies and public leaders to the most critical risks facing business.

Community Building through New Technology
The most efficient communities thrive on peer-to-peer meetings, combined with virtual interaction. Participants will experience WELCOM – the most advanced electronic communication system for communities. In addition, the Dalian Companion, a powerful, wireless PDA, will give participants immediate access to each other and the latest information and news.
