Public/private partnerships in health: working for business and for society

The Forum’s Global Health Initiative has collaborated with its partners in the private sector to prepare a guide to public/private partnerships (PPPs) in health that will be launched at the Annual Meeting 2008 in Davos.“The biggest lesson we learnt in working with the Forum is that while PPPs are a morally good thing to do, this is not sufficient, you need to go beyond the charity aspect and it has to fit with your business needs,” said Reggie Van Lee, Senior Vice President, Booz Allen Hamilton.

Arabian Gulf's economies rising

The next global growth area will be the Arabian Gulf, says Mohammed bin Isa Al-Khalifa, Chief Executive, Bahrain Economic Development Board. In a Forum interview, he cited collaboration between sectors and investment in education and technology as key factors.
